There was a surprise result in Mazatlan where eleventh rankedVenados (9-31) edged higher ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (18-22) 110-107 on Saturday. Strangely Los Mochis outrebounded Mazatlan 38-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Canadian guard Devonte Bandoo (190-1996, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 assists. American center Dakota Quinn (206-1997, college: MNU) helped adding 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American center Arnett Moultrie (208-1990, college: MSU) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Kwame Alexander (201-1990, college: CSUSB, agency: BIG) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mazatlan maintains eleventh place with 9-31 record. Los Mochis lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Toros and Culiacan.
