Regular Season Round 9: Hurricane - Jaguares 45-48

Thirteenth-ranked Hurricane (4-6) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Jaguares (9-1) in Managua. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 48-45. However their fans expected much easier game. Jaguares held Hurricane to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 21.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Hurricane 61-43 including a 32-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international Troy Watson (197-1982) stepped up and scored 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Harry Campos chipped in 2 points and 14 rebounds. Jaguares' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Yassir Cruz (-1999) with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Jose Arce scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jaguares maintains first place with 9-1 record. Hurricane at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Leones and Jass.
