There was no surprise in Managua whereTigres (0-3) were defeated by Costa Caribe (2-1) 89-85 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican Robiel Morales (-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185-1992) chipped in 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tyrell Mendenhall (206-1998, college: Caldwell Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks and Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
