The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofBrumas (2-1) in Jinotega on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Jaguares (3-0) 85-81 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brumas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Jaguares looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Brumas ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican Gerardo Texeira (195-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Jorge Gonzalez (198-1995) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Jaguares' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Julian Roberts (-1997) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Brumas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jaguares have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Brumas at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Leones and Flecheros.
