Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua:Jaguares (#1) and Costa Caribe (#3). Jaguares (6-0) crushed visiting Costa Caribe (3-3) by 19 points 103-84 . Jaguares players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Costa Caribe 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Josmel Martinez (198-1999, college: Broward CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Jaguares players scored in double figures. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Costa Caribe. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jaguares have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Costa Caribe at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Flecheros.
