The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Managua:Leones (#6) and Costa Caribe (#5). Leones (3-5) won against visiting Costa Caribe (3-6) 96-82 . Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Puerto Rican point guard Luis Gonzalez (183-1997, college: PR-Bayamon) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 assists for the winners and chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Leones players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Robiel Morales produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones moved-up to fourth place. Costa Caribe lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Real Esteli.
