No shocking result in a game when third rankedBrumas (8-5) crushed 6th ranked Leones (4-11) in Managua 108-70 on Wednesday. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Leones ' 50. Brumas forced 26 Leones turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center Tamell Pearson (208-1999, college: App State, agency: JCK Sports Group) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Brumas' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds by Venezuelan center Miguel Bolivar (205-1992) did not help to save the game for Leones . Herman Mullins added 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brumas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-5 record having seven points less than leader Jaguares. Leones lost sixth consecutive game.
