We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh rankedTigres (3-13) rolled over 6th ranked Leones (4-11) in Corinto 121-77 on Friday. Tigres dominated down low during the game scoring 102 of its points in the paint compared to Leones ' 42. They outrebounded Leones 40-22 including a 30-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tigres looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Leones ' players. Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) notched 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Cuban Emmanuel Calderon (198-1998) supported him with 33 points (!!!) (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field). Four Tigres players scored in double figures. Tigres' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points by Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) did not help to save the game for Leones . International forward Josmel Martinez (198-1999, college: Broward CC) added 25 points for the guests. Tigres maintains seventh position with 3-13 record. Leones lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 11 games lost.
