Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Managua:Jaguares (#1) and Costa Caribe (#5). Jaguares (16-2) crushed visiting Costa Caribe (6-11) by 19 points 97-78 . Jaguares players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Costa Caribe 's players. It was a great evening for international forward Josmel Martinez (198-1999, college: Broward CC) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Jaguares players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and Oenis Medina scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jaguares have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Costa Caribe lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost.
