Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua:Jaguares (#2) and Leonas (#4). Leonas were defeated at home 63-72 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Jaguares dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Leonas ' 34. Jaguares players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Yayma Boulet notched 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Shaneel Antonio supported her with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Jaguares' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Jennifer Espinoza did not help to save the game for Leonas . Debon Soto added 17 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Jaguares have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Real Esteli. Leonas at the other side still closes the standings with 15 games lost.
