There was an upset in Puerto Cabezas where higher rankedAmericas 2 (3-3) was defeated by twelfth ranked Mineros (3-4) 61-48 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Jose Mccurbia who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Norvin Mairena helped adding 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international forward Troy Andrews (196-2000) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Orlin Bone scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mineros moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Tipitapa and La Libertad. Loser Americas 2 keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Frente.
