Everything went according to plan when eleventh rankedTipitapa (4-4) outplayed 18th ranked Leon (2-6) in Managua 92-43 on Saturday. Tipitapa dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Leon 's 34. Tipitapa forced 26 Leon turnovers and had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tipitapa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Leon 's players. The winners were led by point guard Kevin Alvarado (180-1998) who scored that evening 8 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and Magdiel Rivera supported him with 18 points. Even 2 points and 12 rebounds by Marcos Orozco did not help to save the game for Leon . Kerling Meza Zelaya added 10 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tipitapa moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mineros. Loser Leon dropped to the sixteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Academia PLAV and Los Bufalos.
