Not a big story in a game when 18th rankedLeon (2-7) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Americas 2 (4-4) 123-72 on Sunday. Americas 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 102 of its points in the paint compared to Leon 's 54. Americas 2 forced 28 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 63-35 including a 44-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americas 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Leon 's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Troy Andrews (196-2000) who scored 31 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Jovanni Serrano chipped in 31 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Milton Solorzano who recorded 20 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Jaime Gimenez added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Americas 2 moved-up to eighth place. Leon lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Academia PLAV.
