UndefeatedLeones (11-1) recorded its first loss in Jinotega. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Brumas (11-1) 84-78 . It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Leones. The former international guard Dayton Cacho (186-1991) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and international Juan Herrera (187-1996) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. The former international guard Kevin Gutierrez (185-2002) came up with 25 points and 6 assists and Elijah Allen added 19 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Leones in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Brumas . They moved-up to second place, which they share with Leones and Flecheros.
