There was no surprise in Managua where 8th rankedTigres (8-5) were crushed by top-ranked Jaguares (12-0) 78-54 on Saturday. Jaguares forced 22 Tigres turnovers. Forward Lesther Castillo (-2003) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Andy Perez (200-1999) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Mario Valdez responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Kevin Olivas scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Jaguares have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Tigres dropped to the seventh position with five games lost.
