No shocking result in a game in Managua where eighth rankedLa Trinidad (7-6) smashed bottom-ranked Nicaragua U16 (0-13) 99-52 on Saturday. La Trinidad dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nicaragua U16 's 16. La Trinidad forced 19 Nicaragua U16 turnovers and outrebounded them 54-29 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Mario Garcia (182-2000) had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Luder Hernandez (195-1995) chipped in 19 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Enmanuel Abea responded with 11 points and Jose Castillo Medina scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. Nicaragua U16's coach gave up on the game allowing to play thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. La Trinidad have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 7-6 record, which they share with Americas 2 and Mineros. Loser Nicaragua U16 still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
