An interesting game took place in Managua where higher rankedMineros (8-7) were upset on the court of eighteenth ranked UNAN de (4-10) 70-64 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mineros. UNAN de forced 27 Mineros turnovers. Mineros were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Jerssan Espinoza who scored that evening 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and Jason Espinoza supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by Jose Mccurbia did not help to save the game for Mineros . Forward Norvin Mairena added 13 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UNAN de moved-up to fifteenth place. Mineros at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Tigres.
