Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua:Jaguares (#2) and UAM Univ. (#5). UAM Univ. was defeated at home 114-118 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of UAM Univ.. Jaguares forced 25 UAM Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 52-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. UAM Univ. was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Andy Williams (200-2002) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. ex-international David Watson (185-2007) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. The former international point guard Sharlon Hodgson (183-1994) came up with 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and guard Deybi Garcia (-2004) added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for UAM Univ. in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the seventeenth consecutive win for Jaguares . They keep a position of league leader. UAM Univ. at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
