Regular Season Round 19: Flecheros - Brumas 70-78

The most interesting game of round 19 was a home defeat of 3rd placedFlecheros (16-2) to second ranked Brumas (17-1) 78-70 in the game for the second place. It ended the five-game winning streak of Flecheros . It was a great evening for forward Herman Mullins (-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. International Juan Herrera (187-1996) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and international Kevin Andino (186-2002) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brumas have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-1 record having just one point less than leader Jaguares. Flecheros at the other side keep the third position with two games lost. They share it with Leones.
