The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-rankedUnion Scorpions ' (0-7) road loss to fifth ranked Panteras (2-6) in Panama City 73-85 on Saturday. Panteras outrebounded Union Scorpions 60-39 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Argentinian point guard Brian Flores (172-2000) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Sita Conteh (203-1998, college: Coppin St.) supported him with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 5 rebounds by Luis Poyatos (180-2007) did not help to save the game for Union Scorpions . Jhonny Murillo added 23 points for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Panteras maintains fifth position with 2-6 record. Loser Union Scorpions still closes the standings with seven games lost.
