Bottom-rankedAguilas is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to second ranked Correcaminos (7-2) 53-34 on Thursday evening. Correcaminos held Aguilas to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Correcaminos forced 26 Aguilas turnovers. The winners were led by Mexican forward Diana Armas (185-1993) who scored that evening 14 points and 9 rebounds and Katherine Armstrong (173-2006) supported her with 17 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by Charity Alleyne (162) did not help to save the game for Aguilas . Maia Almengor added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Correcaminos maintains second position with 7-2 record having just two point less than leader Felinas. Loser Aguilas still closes the standings with nine games lost.
