No shocking result in a game when second rankedColonias (16-2) crushed 4th placed Felix Perez (10-8) in Asuncion 89-66 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Colonias players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Strings (201-1996, college: Sacramento St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Dominique Morrison (198-1989, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Felix Perez in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Colonias . They maintain second place with 16-2 record behind leader Olimpia K. Loser Felix Perez keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
