The biggest surprise took place in Asuncion where hostOlimpia K. (20-2) beat league's leader Colonias (20-3) 90-85 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Colonias. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American guard Charles Hinkle (198-1988, college: American) fired 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Edgar Riveros chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Four Olimpia K. players scored in double figures. produced 23 points and Alen Juarez added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olimpia K. have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Colonias at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Olimpia K..
