The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of San Jose (2-1) in Asuncion on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by Olimpia K. (4-0) 74-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Jose. They outrebounded San Jose 47-27 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Rodney Mercado (191-1999) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Edgar Riveros (184-1991) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Olimpia K. players scored in double figures. Robin Perry replied with 34 points (!!!) and the former international forward Ramon Sanchez (194-1991) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for San Jose. Olimpia K. have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. San Jose at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost.
