Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Asuncion:Colonias (#5) and Ciudad N. (#6). Ciudad N. was smashed at home by 24 points 68-92 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Colonias dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad N. 's 32. They outrebounded Ciudad N. 51-29 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Colonias players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ciudad N. 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Giga (208-1995, college: Jax State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Diego Silva who added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Colonias players scored in double figures. At the losing side Mccry Fenner responded with 20 points and 4 assists and Miguel Polanco scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Colonias (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with San Jose. Ciudad N. at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Campo Alto and San Alfonso.
