Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion:San Jose (#3) and Ciudad N. (#7). Ciudad N. was defeated at home 66-78 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was a good game for the former international forward Fernando Dose (200-1994) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Haitian forward Wes Alcegaire (198-1994, college: BGSU, agency: BIG) contributed with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Jorge Sequera (194-1988) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Argentinian Nelson Peralta (195-1992) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ciudad N.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for San Jose . They moved-up to second place, which they share with Colonias. Ciudad N. at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.
