No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedAmambay (4-6) crushed at home bottom-ranked San Alfonso (1-9) 108-68 on Wednesday. Amambay dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to San Alfonso 's 42. They outrebounded San Alfonso 61-36 including a 42-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Amambay looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Eduardo Marques notched 42 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Osmar Do Amaral supported him with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Amambay's coach Ramon Baez felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Maxsuel Urnau did not help to save the game for San Alfonso . Brazilian point guard Renan Santos (178-1993) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Amambay moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Felix Perez and Campo Alto. San Alfonso lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
