The most exciting game of round 9 in the LUB took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th rankedDefensor (3-3) to eighth ranked Urunday (4-4) 81-78 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Defensor. Urunday looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Alejandro Acosta (189-1989) contributed with 17 points and 9 assists for the winners. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward James Montgomery (203, college: Barry) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) added 15 points and 8 assists in the effort for Defensor. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Urunday moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cordon. Defensor at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost.
