The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo:Malvin (#2) and Cordon (#8). Cordon was defeated at home 69-76 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a good game for forward Nicolas Martinez (206-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Deshone Hicks (178-1999, college: Ferrum) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Argentinian Diego Garcia (195-1996) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Cordon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Malvin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record behind leader Nacional. Cordon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with six games lost.
