Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Montevideo:Nacional (#1) and Malvin (#4). Malvin was crushed at home by 21 points 67-88 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Nacional forced 19 Malvin turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Guard Agustin Mendez (180-2003) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Nicolas Martinez (206-2003) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Carlton Guyton (190-1990, college: Kent St.) added 12 points respectively for Malvin in the defeat. Four Malvin players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Nacional . They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Loser Malvin dropped to the third position with four games lost.
