There was a small surprise in Montevideo where eleventh rankedUrupan (4-11) outscored 8th ranked Urunday (6-9) 90-61 on Friday. Urupan dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday 's 30. American Anthony Peacock (206-1999, college: MWSU) fired 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Rafael Previatti (199-2003) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Urupan players scored in double figures. Forward Martin Rodriguez produced 15 points and American forward Wayne Langston (200-1993, college: Murray St.) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Urupan moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Trouville. Urunday lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Cordon.
