There was a minor upset in Montevideo where 8th rankedBigua (8-12) was defeated by tenth ranked Urunday (7-14) 92-85 on Thursday. American forward Wayne Langston (200-1993, college: Murray St.) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian-American Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Urunday players scored in double figures. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Armenian-American guard Andre Spight (191-1995, college: N.Colorado) produced 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Spanish-Colombian power forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-1985) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Urunday moved-up to ninth place. Bigua lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost.
