Second Stage Round 8: Aguada - Defensor 83-75

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo:Aguada (#2) and Defensor (#5). Aguada (22-5) won against visiting Defensor (12-15) 83-75 . Aguada players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 assists and the other American import center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) who added 17 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) during the contest. American forward Dion Wright (201-1993, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguada have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-5 record having just eight point less than leader Nacional which they share with defeated Defensor . Defensor lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Hebraica.
