Very expected game in Montevideo where bottom-rankedCordon (0-3) was crushed by third ranked Aguada (2-2) 97-37 on Sunday. Aguada dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon 's 22. Aguada forced 37 Cordon turnovers and outrebounded them 48-31 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Cordon 's players. Venezuelan guard Jormelys Urbina (170-1996) fired 29 points, 5 assists and 8 steals for the winners. Guard Camila Kirschenbaum (171-2002, college: Binghamton) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. Luana Cardozo produced 15 points and Cecilia Pedetti added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Aguada went down to sixth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Cordon still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Tabare.
