Regular Season Round 6: Tabare - Cordon 67-55

Tabare has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Cordon (0-5) 67-55 on Wednesday. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon 's 18. Tabare forced 31 Cordon turnovers. Strangely Cordon outrebounded Tabare 42-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Matilde Talamas (-2006) who scored 14 points and 5 assists. Guard Maite Lacasa (-2008) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Milagros Rivero (-2003) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Cecilia Pedetti added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabare (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Juventud. It was Cordon 's fifth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost.
