There was no surprise in Montevideo where 12th rankedYale (4-12) was defeated by tenth ranked Tabare (7-9) 67-60 on Monday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tabare made 8 blocks. American power forward Kwame Alexander (200-1990, college: CSUSB, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners and guard Thomas Araujo (192-2004) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Cuban center Arle Zaporta responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and forward Emilio Taboada (191-1982) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Despite that victory Tabare went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Loser Yale keeps the twelfth place with 12 games lost.
