Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo:Verdirrojo (#2) and Olimpia (#5). Olimpia was defeated at home 79-89 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Verdirrojo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Italian forward Xavier Couste (186-1999) chipped in 28 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Dwayne Russell (203-1998, college: St.Thomas, FL) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Olimpia's coach Federico Camina rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Verdirrojo (14-5) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Larranaga. Loser Olimpia keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Lagomar.
