Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Penarol (#1) and Nacional (#2). Penarol (10-1) won against visiting Nacional (9-3) 82-69 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nacional. They outrebounded Nacional 46-34 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Santiago Vescovi (191-2001, college: Tennessee) who added 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Panamanian power forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-1989) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Penarol have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record. Defending champion Nacional keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Malvin.
