No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where sixth rankedBigua (7-5) defeated 10th ranked Goes (3-9) 110-106 on Thursday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bigua's coach Federico Camina used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Justin Strings (201-1996, college: Sacramento St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Akia Pruitt (203-1997, college: UNCP) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Bigua and four Goes players scored in double figures. Bigua maintains sixth place with 7-5 record. Goes lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with nine games lost.
