There was no surprise in Montevideo where bottom-rankedWelcome (0-12) was crushed by seventh ranked Defensor (6-5) 103-82 on Thursday. Defensor outrebounded Welcome 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Defensor looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and American point guard Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) chipped in 20 points.
