The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo:Defensor (#7) and Bigua (#6). Defensor (7-5) smashed visiting Bigua (7-6) by 22 points 98-76 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bigua. Defensor made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Deshone Hicks (178-1999, college: Ferrum) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Bigua. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defensor moved-up to sixth place. Bigua at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
