There was a surprise result in Montevideo where tenth rankedGoes (4-11) defeated higher ranked Defensor (8-6) 99-92 on Monday. Goes shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Forward Manuel Oyenard (194-2000) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Troy Cracknell (193-1999, college: Augusta) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) produced 26 points and 4 assists and Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Goes and four Defensor players scored in double figures. Defensor's coach Gonzalo Brea Rey rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
