Very predictable result in Montevideo where fifth rankedAguada (10-5) smashed 11th ranked Cordon (3-14) 109-86 on Wednesday. Aguada shot 64.5 percent from the field. Aguada outrebounded Cordon 40-27 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Santiago Vidal (180-1989) chipped in 2 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Addison Spruill (195-1993, college: UNCW) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Jordan ONeal (201-2001, college: Jackson St., agency: JCK Sports Group) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aguada moved-up to fourth place. Cordon at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost.
