No shocking result in a game in Montevideo where eighth rankedDefensor (11-10) defeated bottom-ranked Welcome (3-18) 91-77 on Monday. Defensor forced 21 Welcome turnovers. American point guard Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Rashad Hassan (203-1989, college: SSU) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Juan Martin Ortiz (185-2002) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Defensor and five Welcome players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defensor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bigua. Loser Welcome stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. They share it with Cordon.
