Very predictable result when third rankedNacional (14-8) rolled over bottom-ranked Cordon (3-19) in Montevideo 126-75 on Thursday. Nacional dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Cordon 's 46. Nacional forced 20 Cordon turnovers and outrebounded them 36-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. American-Dominican center James Feldeine (193-1988, college: Quinnipiac) accounted for 24 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Nacional players scored in double figures. American guard Rob Perry (193-2000, college: Murray St.) came up with 21 points and the other American import power forward Jordan ONeal (201-2001, college: Jackson St., agency: JCK Sports Group) added 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Cordon in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third place with 14-8 record having four points less than leader Penarol, which they share with Malvin. Cordon lost sixth consecutive game.
