Sixth-rankedDefensor (12-13) gave a tough game to third ranked Malvin (16-8) in Montevideo on Monday. Malvin managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83 . However their fans expected easier game. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Joshua Webster (190-1997, college: Missouri St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 4 assists and guard Carlton Guyton (190-1990, college: Kent St.) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) scored 21 points. Defensor's coach Gonzalo Brea Rey rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Malvin have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-8 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Penarol. Defensor lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 13 games lost.
