Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo:Defensor (#6) and Aguada (#3). Defensor (15-16) crushed visiting Aguada (20-11) by 28 points 88-60 . Defensor dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Aguada 's 34 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Defensor looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. Defensor's coach Gonzalo Brea Rey felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 14 points and 7 assists. Defensor maintains sixth place with 15-16 record. Aguada lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 11 games lost.
