We should mention about the upset which took place in Caracas, where higher rankedCocodrilos (12-12) lost at home to tenth ranked Guaiqueries (11-11) 78-82 . It was a good game for the former international forward Jose Ascanio (204-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Pedro Chourio (196-1990) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Willie Reed (211-1990, college: St.Louis, agency: Diamond Sports) replied with 9 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import Keyshawn Woods (192-1996, college: Ohio St., agency: Diamond Sports) added 13 points in the effort for Cocodrilos. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Guaiqueries moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Piratas. Cocodrilos at the other side keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Brillantes and Gladiadores.
