The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas:Cocodrilos (#6) and Marinos (#2). Cocodrilos (4-1) won against visiting Marinos (4-2) 85-76 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. 24 personal fouls committed by Marinos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Dominican Diego Colon (188-2001) contributed with 23 points for the winners. International point guard Gregory Vargas (181-1986) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Bryan Jefferson (201-1994, college: Mary) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Marinos. Four Marinos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cocodrilos moved-up to second place, which they share with Guaiqueries. Newly promoted Marinos dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Pioneros and Spartans.
