Undefeated leaderGaiteros delivered the eleventh consecutive win on Monday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Marinos (7-5) 90-82 in Maracaibo. The best player for the winners was Colombian-Dominican point guard Jesse Zarzuela (188, college: Oregon) who scored 21 points and 5 assists. Swingman Luis Duarte (190-1994) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 22 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Tobin Carberry (192-1991, college: LIU Post) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Gaiteros and four Marinos players scored in double figures. Marinos' coach Silvio Santander rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gaiteros (11-0) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Newly promoted Marinos keep the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Trotamundos.
